Nell’area che ha ospitato Expo Milano 2015 sta nascendo un distretto della scienza e dell’innovazione. Al suo interno, Human Technopole opererà come nuovo istituto di ricerca italiano sulle Scienze della Vita. Il presidente Marco Simoni ne spiega la missione: sviluppare attività di ricerca per una medicina e una nutrizione personalizzate per contrastare il cancro e le malattie neurodegenerative grazie alla genomica e ai big data, rispondendo alla sfida del miglioramento e della protezione della vita dell’essere umano e rinforzando la tradizione italiana di tenere insieme cultura, civiltà e umanità con innovazione, tecnologia e ingegneria.
In the area that housed Expo Milan 2015, a science and innovation district is growing. Within this area, Human Technopole will be working, as a new Italian institute for research into the Life Sciences. The President, Marco Simoni, explains its mission: to develop research activities for personalised medicine and nutrition, to fight cancer and neurodegenerative diseases, thanks to the genome and to big data, by responding to the challenge of improving and protecting the life of the human being and by enhancing the Italian tradition of keeping culture, society and humanity together, with innovation, technology and engineering.
