Il mondo del lavoro sta cambiando, come ci ricorda l’economista Paolo Falco. Le forze che lo stanno trasformando non conoscono confini, vanno oltre il controllo dei singoli stati, e ci sembra impossibile poter governare i processi di trasformazione che stiamo vivendo. Questi cambiamenti, tuttavia, possono e devono essere governati, attraverso un’agenda di politiche coraggiose, una maggiore cooperazione internazionale e la riduzione delle disuguaglianze. Solo così potremo aspirare a un futuro del lavoro più equo e più giusto e a una società più unita e forte.
The world of work is changing, as the economist Paolo Falco reminds us. The forces transforming it know no bounds, they go beyond the control of individual states, and it seems impossible for us to govern the transformation processes we are experiencing. However, these changes can and must be governed, by means of an agenda of courageous policies and greater international cooperation, and by reducing inequalities. Only then can we aspire to a fairer and more just future of work and to a more united and stronger society.
